Looks like we got the first Premiership surprise

Claudio Ranieri cuts a frustrated figure. The Premiership title holders opened the league as they locked their horns against the newly promoted club. Hull City was among the newly promoted clubs and played a host to the last season's Premiership title holders. It looks like this is the first time a Defending Champion has lost a the opening march of the season. A well deserved victory for Hull City who put up an outstanding performance saw the long kept record broken today. Goals from  Diomande and Robert Snodgress ensured the Tigers overcome the Leicester City and made a perfect start to the campaign. Diomande opened the scoring in a spectacular way to give the home side the lead, however, Riyad Mahrez scored from a spot-kick after Tom Huddlestone fouled Demarai Grey in the penalty area just at the start of second half of the game to give the defending champions the equalizer. A great work from Snodgrass  restored the home side's lead as the Scottish international saw the back of the net through a well-taken volley on 57 minutes. Liecester struggled on but guess today was not their day. The post 'Looks like we got the first Premiership surprise' appears first on chipelez.blogstop.com
