President Buhari rejected a call to privatise healthcare in Nigeria>>>>>

President Muhammadu Buhari has said his administration will not privatize healthcare in the Country as it may deny the poor and the vulnerable access to healthcare services.

Buhari acknowledged the fact that privatization will yield more profit but then stated that not be affordable for the poor and the less privilege ones.

 The president stressed on the need to developmental state of the country before weighing the option to privatize the healthcare institutions.

He assured pharmaceutical companies in the country that his administration will fully support them to enable them produce essential drugs locally instead of relying on wholesale importation.
