A superb performance by Fraser Forster denied Arsenal the opportunity to snatch the three points from Southampton today when they visited the Emirate Stadium. The start was promising for the Gunners as they looked confident of winning the game but the Saints were eager to leave the Emirate with at least a draw as they tried to accommodate the pressure mounted on them by the host team. Wenger must be frustrated this night as his team could not convert the numerous chances they created. Most of the chances created by the North London side were denied by the England International as he made an impressive saves from Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud. The result of today's game means that Arsenal stays on the fourth position as Manchester City and Tottenham occupy the second and third position respectively, while Saints climb to seventh position.Arsenal are now five points behind leaders Leicester. Will Arsenal overturn this and eventually take the Premiership trophy to Emirate Stadium as many has predicted or will it take another direction.
