Ighalo honoured with Goal Nigeria Player of the Year>>>>>>>
Watford forward Odion Ighalo has the winner of 2015 Goal Nigeria Player of the Year. The 26 year old Nigerian born player was crowned with the prestigious award during the week beating Portland Timbers’ Fanendo Adi on votes. Ighalo had 30.5 per cent of the votes ahead of Adi who scored 28.6 per cent of the vote
to made this year's award. The Watford striker was presented with his award in England during the week and he appreciated the fans for believing in him. The also gave thanks to his coaches, family and fans for making it possible for him. He took the award from the previous year winner Vincent Enyeama while John Mikel Obi had the honour to himself in 2012 and 2013 respectively. He also said “I thank every one of them and I think this is the sign of a good thing
and it’s giving me motivation to work hard, to keep doing my best and
make sure I win more." Ighalo scored a total number of 30 goals in 75 appearance in 2015 for Watford who has gained promotion to the Premier League .
