New technique to aid cancer treatment unveiled>>>>>>

A new technique that reveals how far cancer  has spread in the body has been developed by scientist.

This method uses fluorescent molecules that will help the surgeons to identify which lymph nodes that cancerous so that the healthy tissues can be saved. Lymph nodes are located throughout the body,
 
They are part of the lymph system which carries nutrients and waste material between the body tissues and the bloodstream.

They are part of the immune system and they play important role, helping the body to fight diseases. 

The leader of the group,  Dr Quyen Nguyen, from the University of California, San Diego, said:  surgeons will be able to detect and stage cancer that has spread to the patient’s lymph nodes using these molecules in  the future. 

Cancer can either start from the lymph or spread to there from else where.
